Review content:
If I was rating it based on the training quality it'd be 5 stars. However, I'm not. This place used to be spectacular and it has really been let go. It's understandable to have barns with a little chewed wood, I get that, but dust everywhere? Cobwebs everywhere? Cheap shavings? Dried out tack? It looks like the person who owns this place does not care about it anymore. I've had two lessons here so far and I've been here multiple times. Here's the thing I don't like: it's very, very easy to just walk in and do whatever you want. The front gate is left wide open so a horse could easily get out and be hit by a car.
In broad daylight, I'm willing to bet I could probably show up and tack up a horse and ride and nobody would ever know, and that scares me. If I was to board my horse there it wouldn't really be protected. The wash racks have seen better days on top of that as has the arena, and the outdoor arena foods pretty badly in the winter.
Bottom line this place just doesn't look cared for and has an air of neglect to it. While the training quality is superb I just don't trust them to take care of any of my things if I were to leave tack there. Get your crap together Gold Creek, you used to be so much more than this.
