Review content:
#255573 Richard and Tyrone came to my home in Beltsville, MD to clean my chimney. They told me that it was too dirty to clean and that I would need a new chimney liner at a cost of $1900. They provided me with no helpful information about why it could not be cleaned and showed me no evidence that it was really that dirty. Instead, Richard tried to get me to make a decision right away saying that my cleaning would be free and they would do the work the next Saturday if I immediately signed a contract and paid one third on the spot. I was suspicious, so I called another company to get a second opinion. The second company told me that it was not that dirty and that I should just spray a product called Creaway up the chimney a couple of times and have it cleaned next spring. They took pictures of the chimney from the top and showed me exactly what it looked like and gave me several brochures explaining the inspection process, the importance of keeping your chimney clean, and other helpful information. I am glad I resisted High's pressure to buy today and saved a ton of money by going to another company.
