Review content:
A couple years ago when I was finishing up college in the summer, a drunk driver hit my old BMW and totaled it (luckily I wasn't inside). We bought the BMW from Auto IQ right next to North Hills and had a great experience, but they weren't offering many cars at the time and I needed a vehicle fast! My parents decided to buy my next car from North Hills. It was a Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and looked great on the outside and interior. However, the check engine light was on. The dealers told us that this was due to a short in the light. Having little time, we didn't look into the issue and trusted them to get the light fixed for us. I must have returned to North Hills 5 times within the next few months. Each time they simply turned off my check engine light and told me it should be fine. After having to replace 3 of the motors in the windows just after purchasing the car, we found that continuing to ask North Hills for help wouldn't get us anywhere. Going to a local mechanic revealed that there were several and I mean SEVERAL serious critical issues with the car and with the engine. The previous owner tried to do some personal cheap fixes and it was extremely costly to undo the damage that was done and have it re-done the right way. Slowly but surely, we began repairing things on the Jeep. All the while, we were trying to get in contact with North Hills to see if they would do anything about this or at least help us figure out what was going on. We NEVER ONCE got a reply. I live 3 hours away and can't make it there easily, especially if nobody will even help me when I get there. Since all of this, the car has had problem upon problem and has had way more money put into it than it's even worth. But we don't have the money to buy another car so now I am stuck with a car that was sold to me by crooked people. Even today the check engine light is still on and the same issues are persisting (and I have tried to have a few different mechanics work on it and try to solve the issues). I am thoroughly disgusted with North Hills Automotive and will never buy or recommend them to anyone. Not just because they sold me a lemon, but because they lied about it and avoided their customer when the problem was brought to their attention. Worst customer service and truly embody the stereotype of sleazy car dealers.
