I did a major renovation which took about 2 years to complete. Although weather was a factor I was initially told approximately 8 months would have been enough time to complete. After this long of a period I literally had to burst into tears to get them to come back to fix the minor things just so we could complete a walk through. Aesthetically, the house looks great. I have to give them credit on the masonry and construction work. They worked well with the architect to build a house that was pretty close to what I had imagined. Unfortunately, the house was built without any phone lines or jacks. This was a major factor that was overlooked because no one mentioned it. They told us it was not on the contract but basic wiring is supposed to be the contractor's responsibility. If the contractor forgot this detail who is to say the home owner would even be present to remind them? The plumber they had subcontracted was a nightmare. He would over tighten the fixtures I had bought and when he stripped the treads and the handles fell off he would blame the manufacturer. I called Kohler and Sigma and told them about this and customer service basically laughed at his incompetence. Additionally, he installed a gray toilet crookedly and caulked it to the black floor with white caulk. I have one toilet that never fully flushes and a shower that constantly gets backed up. The heating unit used to act up because they installed an incompatible part so the house would knock loudly when the thermostat changed settings. The plumber could not figure it out and then eventually said to me..."I just bought an older house and it makes noises too" I replied " well that's too bad but this house is brand new so what's your point!" I would recommend this contracting company because compared to other contractors they know what they are doing. Their major flaw would be they take on more jobs then they can handle all at once. By now I would have hoped they found another plumber to subcontract from.
