Stanbrooke is a horrible company to work with. I signed the contract after various meetings discussing the fact that I did NOT know if the land would pass a perk test. They assured me that all was fine and that no ""work"" would begin until they had a building permit anyway. I cannot obtain a building permit because the land did not perk, yet they will keep the $5,500 deposit. They did nothing other than discuss the layout of the house...and this cost $5,500???? Their contract states ""No 'work' will begin until a building permit has been obtained"" too bad they don't want to follow their contract unless it benefits them...DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY...THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN.
