The prix-fixe lunch menu is an excellent deal. My mom had the skate and I had the fish of the day, cod. Both were fresh and fantastically cooked, with plenty of flavor, but not overpowering and too heavy like sometimes French food can be. The soup of the day was cheese with ham, and I was worried it would be mostly cream with not much other flavor, but I was pleasantly surprised by the rich and hearty flavor without weighing me down. I loved the fresh sourdough bread to begin the meal and the butter is whipped and so tasty. We had the blood orange sorbet to finish the meal and it was a lovely light end to our meal. Our waitress was nice but seemed distracted. It was a very busy lunch day though, so I do not blame her.
Next time I'm shopping at Oakbrook, I will return.
Pros: Great sourdough, Excellent French cooking
