Daymar School Experience
First Quarter: Mrs. Edwards
Class was going great for a week then we got into what you cannot have on/in your background that would keep you from getting your license in the massage field. Several of the students started asking about drug charges and sexual charges, next day 2 students did not return. OK so why would that not have been addressed prior to school starting? Then we get a couple more weeks into the class and find out that one of the students could not read and was having a hard time with keeping up in the class, soon after that student was gone and class got smaller. Then we got into the lighthouse program that was for those that might need help with a sexual misconduct or other problems on their record. Then the next day that student was gone. A few more weeks went on and we had to keep stopping class and going over past topics due to one of the students always coming in late and or sleeping. Several of us brought up to the teacher that we felt this was unfair that we had to be held up due to his lack of interest or disruptions. Nothing was done about this during our first quarter of classes with this issue. We struggled with more issues from this same student when we got in lab, we was taught mostly from our teaching having to stand by him and watch over him cause he would either break out into a dance or just go sit in the corner and we had to wait once again for the teacher to get him taken care of while we stood waiting for help. We were taught mostly from across the room due to Mrs. Edwards having to watch his every move and unable to leave his said. Once again we were not getting the education we thought that we should. After finishing up this quarter we found out that one student was held back due to attendance (family issues) and the disruptive student just flat out failed. Well at least he would not be holding us back we all assumed now we would get the education we were all coming to Daymar to get. Class of 14 down to 4, 7 books purchased and only 2 used for class, passed with an A and perfect attendance.
Ask about the rest it gets worst.
