Review content:
We had a nice time because we made sure to, but it had nothing really to do with the actual ""campground"". This park is more catered to the person who is looking to live in an RV rather then the weekend camper. We were tent camping and our spot wasn't even inside the park ""security gate"" (which was left open 24/7), but rather out in the day use area right across from the office and right next to the road and the ""do not back up severe tire damage"" grate, which was really pleasent to hear at all hours. We also got to listen to the beautiful sound of the pond pump, rather then just the crickets. We were told the spot had full shade, which was a joke. It had shade between about 1-3, but you constantly had to move your chair around. After setting up and walking around we noticed other tent spots that would have been much more enjoyable, quite, and shady. We made our reservation via phone with a credit card, when we first checked in my husband was told that it would be extra to use the credit card to pay, which we were not informed of before. I didn't go into the office with my husband but all the other tenants and the store clerk weren't very friendly. Not the usual smile and wave you would expect at a campground, and the store clerk didn't even say hi when we walked in. The only person that was really friendly to us was the gentleman that emptied the trash cans. And someone kept smoking in the bathroom, so disrespectful. They list a lakeside playground, but I have a 3 yr old and their ""playground"" consisted of two swings, an inverted U climber, and three large tires that were full of cobwebs. Also there were no trails for hiking, and the park is much smaller then it look on their website map.
Pros: We were left alone
Cons: No shade and noisy
