Tonight we are planning on going to Tropical Acres for their summer Lobster Special which we have never had a problem with. After reading some of the latest reviews I had doubts as to the rudeness of the staff. Well I called to make a reservation and the woman when asked if they had the lobster went into a whole story of how good they were and how we would be most welcomed.\r

Yes the decor is old. So what! You guys must love Red Lobster with their frozen foods. There is a reason this place is so popular and here so long. The food is good (not RuthsChris or Mortons - but not their prices either) and the service has always been fine. Of course I don't go there at 8 pm with kids who I would not expect to be amicable at that time anywhere to delays. I am not saying that you should not have waited so long and certainly you should not be treated with rudeness. All I am saying is this is a restaurant that always makes sure you are satisfied. \r

Oh by the way. I am no way related to this family. Don't even know who they are and would trip over the owner if they were there. I have not been going for 20 years. Just the last 8 years about twice a year and a few times during the summer.\r

Of course this is IMHO only. I would reccommend this place as average price. If you want better go to Morton's and pay ala carte $30+ for a steak.
