Why this place is a South Florida Icon, I'll never know. I had the misfortune of coming here for my Grandfather's remembrance reception last week and the inside of the place was shocking to me and extremely old. Nothing seemed clean, the bartender that was serving us behind the open bar was MISERABLE and rude, and kept rolling her eyes at me every time I walked up and asked for a drink. I could see this attitude and approach if I was asking for my 8th drink, but it was only my 2nd. No one opened the blinds or turned on enough lights in the place, which made the ambiance even more depressing than we were all already feeling. This was supposed to be a happy celebration of someone's life, and the place was old, dirty, disgusting, rude and dark. I would NEVER go back here again. Upon contacting the manager and enlightening him of our horrendous experience, I was basically brushed off VIA email with an apathetic "I'm sorry, and the bartender was doing her job." and nothing more, which is fine because I will continue to spread the word about how miserable this establishment is for an Old Ft. Lauderdale landmark. This place is a toilet that needs to be flushed away forever.
