Last Friday 11/9/12, I entered the salon and was COMPLETELY ignored by the receptionist. She glanced up as I was coming in, then looked back down at her cell phone and didn't acknowledge me at all as I waited for her to greet me and ask me what I was there for. She proceeded to make TWO phone calls from her cell phone while I was standing there, still not looking up at me at all. I waited about 5 minutes for her to finish speaking with the people she called. After she hung up with the 2nd person, she grabbed a cigarette, walked around the reception desk, walked past me, and out through the front doors to smoke a cigarette. She never acknowledged me, even though it was clear that she was aware I was standing there waiting. I've experienced unprofessional behavior in the past, but never ONCE have I been so blatantly ignored by a company/store employee. I was so disgusted, I couldn't even speak, I just walked out the door after her and left. The worst part is, this poor excuse for a receptionist greeted other customers who were coming into the salon as she was leaving to go smoke her cigarette. I don't know if she mistreated me because I walked in wearing a baseball cap - (obviously, I was going in for a haircut, so I had my hair under a cap going into the salon) - but no matter what I looked like to this rude, snooty jerk, she had no reason to treat a customer that way. She should be fired for her totally rude and unprofessional behavior! I will never go there again and have told all my friends about Hair Essentials Salon as well. Too bad for them, they might be doing better if not for the idiot at the front desk.
