When the transmission on my 1973 Mercedes started acting up, I ended up taking the car to a few different shops for an estimate. The estimate at Paul's was about $200 cheaper than other places I had looked. The folks there were very familiar with my particular model and did a beautiful fix on it (6 months later and still no more transmission problems). They will also check out the car free of charge after you've driven it a couple of weeks with the new transmission. I would highly recommend this place.
Pros: price, knowledgable staff, friendly
