Review content:
I decided to try On-Track after browsing online reviews of auto shops in my area. That was 5 years ago, and I have been taking my Jeep to On-Track ever since. I have been pleased with their service. When I call to schedule an appointment, Mike remembers who I am and what I drive. It's nice to establish that sort of relationship with the people who work on your vehicle. They are thorough in their evaluation and always take the time to explain to me the root of the problem and discuss the suggested solution. I have dealt with past mechanics not telling me everything about repairs and sometimes doing mediocre jobs because they assume that, being a female, I know nothing about vehicles. Precisely because that is true to some extent, I appreciate that On-Track has always discussed my vehicle with me in laymen's terms. Mike in particular has always taken the time to explain simply (not condescendingly) the issue at hand and my possible courses of action. They never pressure you into costly repairs, and they always make sure you are aware of all your options.
For example, in a recent oil change, I asked Mike to discuss again with me some repairs I had put off in the past. Mike was forthright in his evaluation and told me that the cost of the repairs in question may be prohibitively high and unnecessary given the age and condition of the Jeep. He offered the opinion that if it was his vehicle, he would rather put those funds towards saving for the purchase of a new car. His honesty and realistic perspective were refreshing, and I've found such things to be a bit rare in the automotive repair business.
Anyway, exceptional professionalism aside, Mike and crew are just friendly and welcoming. Who wouldn't want to take their vehicle somewhere they were welcomed and treated as respected customers?
As to costs, well, this isn't the cheapest shop around. BUT, my own personal belief that you get what you pay for has been validated countless times...and On-Track has proved to be no exception. Quality service for a reasonable price - I'm happy!
I will continue to take my car to On-Track, even though a recent move has put me 45 minutes away with traffic instead of 5 minutes. I am happy with my decision to maintain a relationship with this shop, and I feel secure in bringing my car there. Thanks Mike and team!
