I bring my dog to Richmond Vet normally and I wish I would have for this as well. I had an appointment to get my puppy spayed. I heard great things about Fox Lake Vet, the doctors and the price. I chose there because it was less to spay her. I had an appointment for 9am and everything went fine with dropping her off. I asked what time I could call to check on her and they told me 5pm. At 5:30 when I called she was just getting her surgery and she could not come home until the next day at 10am. Which bothered me that she had to sit in a cage all day. I picked her up and she was fine and healed well over two weeks. I brought her 2 weeks later to get her stitches out. I only waited a few minutes and thank god because there were at least 15 dogs in the waiting room. Here is where I have a HUGE problem. They brought me into a room, NOT an exam room and I asked what they wanted me to do with her.....they had me lay on the filthy floor and hold her down while he cut her stitches out. There was another dog in the room as well. I was not happy at all they had my dog who had a surgery lay on the disgusting floor as they used scissors that I am almost certain were not washed. We will never be going back. I do think they treated her well and they seemed to all love her and she did as well, but I would rather pay twice as much.....
