Review content:
I have gone to Prairie Center with the hope of becoming more educated and was referred by DCFS. My recovery is possible, however not with this entity. I found in my experience that not only is my counselor Chris G. solely focused on pushing your buttons to try and get you to lose your composure. The Center is involved in a state pay-off where even if your assessment states that do not need treatment, they put you in treatment anyway because they cannot afford to go against state entities such as DCFS and probation. Therefore if you have only had one beer in your life and only smoked a single joint then you must admit to being a full blown addict or you will not receive a successful discharge. I have found that some counselors are there to help and not push your buttons but Chris G. is the worst one there and is also directly involved in the state pay off and will do everything he can to put words in your mouth and do everything in his power to create false information about you to report to your referral agency. Hope this helps.
