Review content:
My wife had a 12 disk JVC changer and head unit installed about 8 years ago, and the price was low and they did a good job.
Last month I bought a Pioneer 3100 head unit (CD player with iPod/USB hook on face) from Pacific Stereo. Before I went in I called them for the price. They said that they would match the price I had AND include free installation. The person on the phone said that I should talk with Omar or Steve. I went into the store and spoke with Steve, and he said it would be free installation at THEIR price. I thought the original deal (matched price and free install) was too good to be true.
Even with a nominal install fee ($40) I ended up with a very good price. They even fixed a speaker that wasn't working with a little prodding. Overall, I think they do offer competitive pricing and the installation was well done. I would use them again, just be clear on what you are getting for your money and shop around, I think you will find that they are hard to beat.
I'm not sure why the other people on this forum are grumbling so much. These guys are local and worthy of your business.
Pros: Solid and knowledgable
Cons: Price wasn't exactly what was quoted over the phone
