Review content:
I am a soapmaker and have been using Lone Star off and on for about ten years. I truly like their fragrance oils and the prices are good, but it is at the point where it's just not worth dealing with them. I recently ordered $400 worth of oils and when they arrived I could not open a single bottle they have capped them so tight. My neighbor had to take them into his shop and put them in a vise and try to twist them open. This is a ""new"" procedure -- I have never had a problem opening before. When I complained, it was just like, ""well get some pliers and open them that way."" I kid you not. They really don't give a flying rat's patootie about their customers. The same thing happened when I called to request cheaper shipping. If I order five one ounce bottles, I am charged close to $15 for shipping. They can easily fit those items into a small flat rate priority box for $5. Another time, they discontinued a fragrance that was very popular with my customers. I called to see if they could special order me some, I would have bought a barrel if necessary. They wouldn't even try to work with me. Awful awful people. They never try to help -- they just tell you why they can't help you. They won't even entertain the idea. And forget going there in person -- they treat you like crap. I purchase about $30K worth of oils every year for my business. I will take my business elsewhere. Even though I really like their oils.
