Review content:
I am not happy. I have left my dog here for daycare before and not had a problem, but in January we went on vacation and dropped our little guy off here for boarding for the trip. Now I have a small dog and perhaps that is the issue. I say this because they seem to deal with larger breeds more and all the larger dogs I see are in good health and most of the other positive reviews are from people who have a larger breed dog. This is just a theory of mine though, Anyway, I packed 3 days more than needed of extra food with double portions in all the servings since I know boarding is stressful and my pup was going to be playing and getting a lot of activity. We were only gone a week. When I picked up my dog he was skin and bones. I mean this literally. He was slightly over 9 lbs when I dropped him off (this is perfect weight for his size & breed) and when I got him back he was down to 8 lbs, dehydrated, and exhausted. I could see all the bones in his hips, shoulders, ribs & spine. To further I am not just over-protective the vet confirmed that he was under-weight. To top all this off he got pink eye there as well. Now I can let the pink eye thing go with the concept that like camp for kids, one dog and come in with it and spread it before the handlers know what is going on, but when you contract someone to care for your animal you expect them to at least pay enough attention to him to notice he had lost 15% of his body weight. But no. I would hope that if he had collapsed they would have called me/my vet/any vet/the emergency contact I left. Sadly it seems that kind of extreme would have had to happen for them to notice or do something. I will not be boarding my dog here over-night ever again, and it will take some very serious convincing to get me to even put him back in day care here. Yes I also posted this review on Yelp and Google. I am trying to make sure that more people are aware of the quality of care (or lack there of) at this facility.
