Review content:
Many of these review sites have numerous 5 star reviews of Neerings Plumbing of Salt Lake that are obviously fake. By clicking on the reviewer's name you can see that they post hundreds of gushingly positive reviews of companies all over the U.S. and they don't even live in Utah. Is it possible Neerings Plumbing subscribes to a service that provides these fake positive reviews to offset and cover up the negative ones by real people who have actually used their services? Who knows? My experience with Neerings like so many others is that they used deceptive sales practices and charged an exorbitant price for the services they provided. The fact is that they quoted $1033 to replace an existing gas water heater. This wouldn't have been so bad had they installed a $600 - $700 water heater, but they did not. What we ended up getting was a $330 (retail) water heater for an installation charge of $700 for two hours of work. The deception comes in with their practice of using a ""bundled"" price in both their quote and on their sales receipt that does not disclose the cost of the part(s) along with the cost to install. This keeps the customers in the dark as to how much they are actually paying per hour for the service provided. To Neerings credit they do good work and have experienced technicians, but unless you want to pay 2 to 3 times what other companies charge to do quality work, then my advice is to call someone else.
