I was tricked into running a malicious command while I was learning how to do batch scripting on my Windows XP machine. The command formatted a big part of my C: drive, before I realized what was happening and shut the machine off. I guess the system got severely corrupted because it wouldn't turn back on anymore.
I was referred to Secure Data Recovery Services by a coworker. They did a great job of cleaning up the mess I made. Some things could not be recovered, which is only to be expected - but I was happy to see that all my work-related files were intact, as well as my digital camera uploads.
Should the need arise, I'll certainly be going with them again.
