I had used this plumber for the last decade and I had referred friends and family to him. "Had" is the key word. Last month he came to my home for a service call. After I handed him a check he said, "Do you mind if I take that sign in your yard (a candidate running for office) and drag it down the street and put it in the gutter?" I was stunned. I told him I couldn't believe he had just said that to me in my home AND after I had just paid him. He laughed and said that is why he waited until I handed him the check. I could not wait to get this guy out of my house. I was speechless. It is ridiculous that politics were brought up during a service call. It was disrespectful and unprofessional. If you are wondering which candidate's name was on the sign...here's a hint: The guy I am reviewing is a PLUMBER!
