I have been trying to buy a HUD home for over 3 months now. I am on my fourth extension at $375 each and they just gave me a projected close date which will be 1 day before my extension expires. They leave no room for error and I could lose the house and $3k (earnest money, inspections, and extension fee's) if any issue comes up. They used up over a week of my last extension just to tell me my insurance wasn't sufficient and now a week later of having that issued solved I have to wait well over another week to close? If I don't get the house not only can I not look for another one now, I will have to quickly find a rental that will accept a small zoo! I seriously want to cry and drive up north to go smack them! We need to band together and fight for changes to be made whether they learn how to work as hard as us normal folk do or HUD finds a different company to close their transactions!
