Review content:
I have gone to Pearl's Place twice for my brother's wedding. The first time it was crowded, but the people were generally friendly except that when one of us was in the dressing room and the rest of us had wandered off they removed all the dresses from the door and put them back so we had to go back and look for the dresses again. Also, they do not carry many sample sizes over a size 8 or so. Overall it was a decent visit though and we left mostly in a good mood with the dresses decided on and the bridal gown ordered. The second visit was the one that absolutely made me never want to go back there. When we got there, the bride hadn't arrived yet so they told us not to sign in, twenty minutes later someone came up to us and asked if we had signed in, when we said no, we were treated like misbehaving children for not following ""procedues"". Then after the bride arrived, she had to ask for her dress five times and then waited nearly forty-five minutes for them to pull her dress so she could try it on for everyone. When it finally came time for the bridesmaids to get fitted we got comments about how big we were and how plus sizes were going to cost us extra. My cousin tried on the sample dress and it was loose on her, they fitted her two sizes bigger than the sample. When my turn came they charged me over $200 extra for 2 yards extra fabric and alterations, even though alterations are supposedly free if you buy the whole party in the store. When I asked why, the woman proceded to berate me in front of the entire store telling me that they would have to completely remake the dress to fit me because my... and I quote ""a$$ will not fit in one of their dresses"" They reduced me to tears in front of my family and the store. Later I found out I was one inch over the size they measured me for (which was a 28) with my jeans and a sweatshirt on. I went to David's later and fit a size 20 of the same dress. This store WILL RIP YOU OFF any way they can.
