My daughters have taken classes here since they were 3 and 4 years old, now they are 9 and 11. When they were young, they got to do creative dance... be princesses, wave wands and be fairies, etc, and learned how to dance without realizing it. Their coordination grew by leaps and bounds in just the first 6 months. They have grown to love dance. There are many choices in the Triangle area for dance and I will never take my girls anywhere else. The teachers here shape without being critical or harsh. The philosophy here is not just to show your child how to do a pirouette, but to train your child in technique, in dance history, in injury prevention, etc. It is a full experience, taught by dancers who were once professionals in a major city company themselves. I love how especially my shy girl has grown to really have a quiet confidence in herself through dance. There are opportunities to perform on stage, and it is not required to do so. Recitals are about working together to make a full experience for the audience and being a true performer. They are on Apex Peakway just a block or so away from the new Walmart. Very convenient location.
