Hi, I moved into Legacy at Mayland apartment complex a few months ago, and I just wanted to share my experience of living here. My neighbor happened to be a smoker. She smokes inside of her apartment and unfortunately the cigarette smoke travels into my apartment, so I have to breathe it in on a regular basis. As you can imagine, I placed numerous complaints to the management office. They told me that all of the buildings are very old (they were built in the 60s), and the vent system intertwines with the vent system of adjacent apartments as well. It is NOT prohibited to smoke inside, so they cannot move me into another unit as they cannot guarantee that my neighbors will not be smoking inside. They tried to help me at first, did a few fixes here and there with little results. So now they chose a policy of ignoring me. My phone calls and emails regarding this problem are not getting returned anymore. So I just wanted to warn all prospective tenants to consider these facts. If your neighbor happens to be an inside smoker, you are SOL big time. You will not only know what she/he is cooking for dinner, but you will be ?enjoying? a cigarette every time she or he does. PS. By the way, I still have a lot of months to live here, so if you happen to think of any possible solution to my problem, please feel free to share it with me. I will consider any recommendations
