Review content:
Horton's Tree Service was contracted to cut down three trees on my property and grind the stumps 7 inches below grade. I paid them in full when the work was performed. The mulch produced by the grinding of the stump (a very large Elm tree) left a big pile that totally covered the area. After distributing it about my yard and letting the rest compact and dissolve, I noticed there was 3 or 4 area the stump HAD NOT been ground down all the way and is sticking up out of the ground. This prohibited me from applying dirt and grass seed and getting on with my landscaping. So I called Horton's and nicely explained the situation and asked Kurt to come out and finish the job. I left it up to his convenience and added ""2 or 3 weeks to finish it"". He referred me to his stump guy. I called the stump guy and explained the whole situation to him and asked him to come out and finish the job I already paid for in full. He gave me every excuse under the sun (said he lived far from my house, wasn't on this side of town very often, broke a saw tooth while doing it, etc) and finally said he would only come up if I paid him again. Why would I pay AGAIN for something I paid in full for already. I told him I was going to let Horton's know that the stump guy THEY contracted would not finish it. Pros: Initial price Cons: Follow-up, problem resolution
