Review content:
I had only one visit at Baptist Urgent Care. The doctor was horrific. He was the rudest person I have come across in a very long time. Not only was his behavior unprofessional but his demeanor was borderline traumatic. He didnt even look at me when he came into the room. He didn't introduce himself. He didn't shake my hand. He didn't ask my name. He threw the chart down and said ""why are you here?"" When I tried to tell him, he rolled his eyes, shook his head, would not let me speak, would not listen, twisted my words, and made me feel like some kind of criminal for just being there. I'm sure he comes across hundreds of people with back issues or migraine complaints but it is not acceptable to assume that everyone is drug-seeking or is just a ""whiner"". I was afraid of going to the doctor for 2 years and it was my worst nightmare. I legitimately wanted help (diagnostic imaging & referrals) to address a chronic issue and he showed no compassion or manners. He embarrassed me in front of his staff and other patients. He made me cry & I was actually scared by this man. Then he tried to intimidate me with a ""brain tumor possibility"" that was never mentioned before but was purely to scare me out of there and shut me up. My eyes started to tear again and he put his hand in my face and said ""I'm done here"" and walked out on me again. The nurse was in the room that time (our second encounter when he found out he upset me) and she was speechless and looking down at the floor and offered me a complete refund afterwards on the spot because she knew the abuse was apparent but could not openly say it because he is her employer. He should not be allowed to see patients. I come from a family of doctors and aspire to be one myself & i work in a hospital...I have never seen such behavior, even in the most tired, busy, run-down interns. I feel so strongly that I intend to report this incident to the fullest extent in collaboration with my parents and fiance who are physicians and very entrenched in various medical boards.
