As a mother of the bride we made the trip to Lowe's in Brinkley Ark., which was a nice drive and a lovely store to visit, but the thought of dealing with a dress store totally in another state and having to drive back for alterations made us decide against this store. David's Bridal was essentially serve yourself with lots of babies in diapers crawling on the floor, etc. We were very put off by the atmosphere of that store. And then there was Ballew...... what a wonderful experience that was from the time we opened the door! An absolutely beautiful and charming, not to mention knowledgeable consultant named Jeanette worked with us and made us feel that we were her only customers for the day (which we were not!). Every comment and suggestion was ever so helpful...my daughter came in with some very definite ideas about the dress she thought she wanted and she ended up buying a dress that Jeanette picked out for her!!! My daughter is a bride on a budget, and Ballew's worked with her to make paying for the dress not a hardship. We loved the whole experience and Jeanette so much that we went back this weekend for the bridesmaid's dress. While we were there Aunt Donna's Cakes set up a sampling table, which all the brides- to- be thought was such a great idea......we ended up ordering her wedding cake based on that sampling at Ballew's. The bride and mother were totally put at ease at Ballew's and treated royally in a beautifully furnished store filled with beautiful dresses!
