Review content:
I had a horrible experience with Mr. Electric and wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I made an appointment with one of their employees and was quoted a dispatch fee of $29.95. I was told if we decide to have the work done that the $29.95 dispatch fee would be waived. I was then told if we decided not to have the work done that they only ask that I pay the $29.95 dispatch fee for having the truck come out to the house. I made the appointment and George came to my house this morning(very pleasant man)I explained to him the problems I am having. He asked me if the fees had been discussed with me. I told him yes, that I would be charged $29.95 and if we decided to have the work done that the $29.95 would be waived. He had this perplexed look on his face and explained that we charge $120.00 to diagnose your problem. He called the office and the owner Darla Thornton called me.
She wanted to argue the point with me that her employee did not make an error and that the individual had been working with her for a while. She was very rude and uprofessional. Also, the individual I spoke with on the phone appeared to be new because I could tell she was reading from a script or trying to remember what points she need to hit. Bottom line if I was told there would be a $120.00 fee from the beginning I would have paid that amount.
