Review content:
I brought in my gas tank in to have a sump (I supplied) welded in and the whole thing cleaned and sealed. Estimate of over $750 (ouch) but, well, OK.
After a week I picked it up and the cleaning and sealing looked great. I got it home, an hour away, and found the sump improperly installed. Instead of cutting holes in the tank bottom and welding in the sump to allow for proper baffeling of the fuel, they cut out the bottom of the tank the size of the sump. Not a proper install.
I took it back and dropped it off to be corrected. I spoke to the tank guy and a mechanic staffing the office and both were very responsive to my concerns, understood my issue, and told me that they will fix it. I was told, "Your the customer, you paid a lot of money, and we'll make it right. That's how we do business." Great news!
A week later I called to check the status and I spoke to the owner. He was NOT receptive to my concern and said, "It will be fine. I don't want to waste my time and your money."
Now I get to drive another 2 hours to pick up a tank that is not correct, will probably not function as required, and cost me a ton of money.
Stay away from this place. The staff is great, the owner - not so much.
