I really enjoyed this gym for the last 1.5 years until I went to cancel. That's when the s--t hit the fan. It pains me to write the following, but it is what it is... When I called, the front desk girl named Andrea told me I had a 30-day cancellation requirement, and since my payment was automated to charge my credit card on the 4th of each month (and it is March 10th today) I would still have to pay for April. I said fine -- I paid first and LAST MONTH when I started, so just apply the last month to April. Makes sense, right? Nope. Not for Andrea. Andrea went on to tell me that NOT ONLY were they going charge my credit card for April, because I failed to give 30 days notice, but they would ALSO keep the last month in payment (effectively making me pay for May also). Frustrated with Andrea's inability to do basic math, I asked to speak with a manager. Andrea first told me the other managers were on the phone and I would have to hold. Then she comes back and tells me the other managers aren't there. I pressed her and calmly said, ""Andrea, because I know for a fact you are incorrect, I'm going to need to speak with a manager."" She goes, ""No, I'm not going to pass you to a manager because they will just tell you what I've just told you."" It is not Andrea's fault that she didn't pay attention in 3rd grade math, but the fact that she had just just LIED TO ME, telling me that a manager wasn't there, then decided to change her story and refuse to pass me to a manager, took it to a whole other level. When there is a clear accounting dispute, wouldn't it make sense to let the customer speak to a manager?! I'm so confused. I asked to speak to a manager about 7 more times, but no go. SHE WOULDN'T DO IT. She kept saying something about the contract even though I was not disputing that the contract required 30 days notice. SO FRUSTRATING. Needless to say, there will be a call to the owner on Monday, but you get one star P-Fit. When you have 2 managers there who are refusing to talk to a customer over an accounting issue, and a front desk person who outright lies to your customers, you have a problem.
