This happened quite some time ago. I just now found this website. I used St Tammany pet center grooming for awhile. One day as I returned from St Tammany Pet Center with my miniature schnauzer, I noticed he was acting very different. He was very deliberate and slow with any exertion. I began checking him over. As I pulled his eyelids up,I noticed the entire whites of his eyes were dark red. I immediately brought my dog to the vet. The vet checked him out and was horrified. He said that the only thing that could cause this was someone choking my dog or repeatedly hitting him in the head. I then went back to that horrible pet store. I brought my dog inside.When approached,the owner and the groomer,who was the owner's wife, vehemently denied everything. I left the store feeling so terrible for my defenseless little dog. Later, that same night, the groomer who hurt my dog,who, as I previously mentioned was the owner's wife, CALLED MY HOUSE and began, in a threatening tone, telling me that she did not hurt my dog. She then told me that vets didn't really know anything about treating animals. She said they just went to the back room and looked up something in a book in order to tell me something. I asked this terrible person why she was calling my house. She had nothing more to say. I repeated this conversation with my vet who,along with me and many other dog owners, was repulsed. He was not the only vet with that opinion. It is amazing and scary what you can find out about a business when you start investigating. I will spend the rest of my life informing people about those that I know who deliberately hurt dogs and other animals. Please stay away from that place. Do not trust them.
