Review content:
This was a job that was done while we were out of the country. The brother of Rocky Rau owner of Hill Country Carpet Cleaning. (Ray RAU) of Rau Homes was renting from us, the hot water leaked in the night they awoke to water on the floor. We had brand new pergo flooring and a small amount of carpet. Ray hired his brother to (Hill Country Carpets) to do the clean up. Well after we returned two weeks later, it took approx. another 3-4 weeks to get most of the tear out. This involved two layers of flooring that were floating (per Ray and Rocky) and removel of the small amount of carpet. When I say small the carpet area was approx 150sq ft. and the remainder of the house was approx 600 sq. ft. It came down to firing Hill country Carpet Cleaners. They then submitted a bill to the insurance company, but never to us the home owners. After receiving the check from the insurance company, we had to send it to the mortgage company for there signature. About 1 week prior to getting the check I called Hill country and asked for an itemized bill, Rocky faxed me the bill. The next week I received the check from the bank and called Rocky to meet me at the house. I started to go over the itemized bill and asked questions about $502.60. for mildew and mold treatment 3x, remove tile $906.00, remove wood floor $608.00 pergo snap in floor. This is on 600 sq. ft, 4 fans $300.00 dehumidifier $720.00 and numerous other charges such as pull up base boards $195.00 and best of all $580.00 set up and breakdown of equipment (carry fans in the house and remove fans. As I disputed some charges Rocky became angry and then a yelling match ensued. Then when I said I was leaving Rocky started yelling at the top of his voice to my neighbors that we do not pay our bills. Then Rocky calls my wife who is sick at the house, she tells him that she will call him back, she falls asleep and the phone started ringing for a total of 47 times on Friday night between the house phone and her cell phone.DO NOT USE
