Review content:
People get very upset and take it personally when we don't want their stuff. It is not personal, it is business. If something is old and outdated we don't want it because no one else does. We do our best to verify what people have and price accordingly. The fact is that there is so much different technology out there that it is possible we could get it wrong. But we are going to err on the side of caution. That may upset some people. You can't please all of the people all of the time.
As far as my experience goes. I worked for a fortune 500 technology company for 9 years in high level specialized technical support. Previous to that I worked for another large company for 3 years in IT. I have been in the pawn business for 10 years and have a good deal of knowledge about many products. I am far from a know-it-all, but rather a know-a-lot. We pride ourselves on giving people a good deal when they bring their stuff in for a loan or to sell and also when they come to buy.
