I think there are two types of trainers: those who catch you fish and those who teach you how to catch your fish. I went to Diakadi Body to shake up my work out routine and LEARN things about fitness, well-being and GET to another level. I had been working out with some great personal trainers for the last 4 years in another gym and I thought nothing would shake me to the core at DIAKADI (pun is totally intended). At DIAKADI I had an honor to work out with Caitlyn Dunphy (she goes by Caitlyn Allen on the webpage. They apparently haven't updated her page) who was fantastic. She is one of those who teaches you how to catch a fish. Be warned though: she will make you sweat, moan and feel the muscles you didn't know existed. What I really liked about Caitlyn is that she really wants you to understand your body, what you can do with it and succeed in achieving your fitness goals. At the first session she did full body assessment including your posture, proper body movement and tested your strength to customize her session accordingly. She was also very careful to write down your goals and expectations. That set a very solid ground for the success of our work out session. Each day with Caitlyn was a lot of work, a lot of sweat, a lot of learning and also a lot of FUN. And yes with her professional help I did achieve my goals and I had to shop for a whole new wardrobe! :-) But most importantly Caitlyn gave me knowledge that is going to last me my lifetime which is the best investment you can make.
