Review content:
After paying $6500. for a top of the line Trane system, I was surprised to find it blowing warm air less than two years later. On a hot July day, Waychoff's was busy and could not come out to look at it until after 5pm. There was no special consideration for me just because I bought the system from them.
Turns out the coils were leaking - a manufacturing defect. Waychoff's said: Pay for a diagnostic visit, then pay for another visit to install the new coils (only the parts were covered in the Trane warranty). And then pay $750 for an extended warranty because the coils will probably fail again.
Also, when I bought the new system, I told them that I wanted the outside unit to be a lower profile than the old one, so I could see over it from the back porch. No problem, the salesman says. When I got home that day the new unit outside was a foot taller than the old one.
Finally, Waychoff's price for an extended warranty was $100. higher than that of the other contractors.
