I have had many blessings in my life-the most recent Dr Gina Cottle! (at the Hill Country Eye Center). My family physician recommend Dr. Cottle for an eye exam, as I am 75, and a diabetic, he was concerned if there could be any problems connected with my eyes as a result of the diabetes. Within five minutes of my arrival I was very courteously seated in the examination room. Dr. Cottle found cataracts on both eyes. I was SHOCKED!!! I thought because of my age I was just loosing my sight (much like my teeth, joints, bones, hearing and memory). Not the case Dr. Cottle told me, you just need some new lens implants. The thought of my eyeball having surgery scared me to a maximum level. She explained to me it would take all of 12 to 15 minutes. On 9-12-2011 Dr. Cottle removed the big cataract on my left eye at the Hill Country Surgery Center. What an expert at her profession she is. No pain , I could see so clearly before I got off the operating table!(in my left eye). I went across the street to IHOP and had a man-sized breakfast. I read the menu for the first time (without glasses) in 15 years. My second surgery was this week on 11-7-2011. On the right eye! NO PAIN!!! I have not even needed a baby aspirin after either surgery. Dr. Cottle is so caring and loves her work as a an eye surgeon. I cannot praise Dr. Gina Cottle enough there are just not enough meaningful words to describe her. She restored on of my most precious organs ""my eyes"". I have now donated my eye glasses as I dont need them anymore. This is the one and only place to go--all staff at both facilities are better than great !!! They are Excellent!!! If anyone is looking for excellent eye care and or eye surgery I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Gina Cottle @Hill Country Eye Center
