Review content:
Now that the days of The Blue Fox, Ernie's, The Squire Room (Fairmont Hotel), etc. in San Francisco are long gone, making way to all the Alice Waters rip-offs, The Iron Gate is the only remaining great Continental Cuisine restaurant left in the Bay Area. Classics like Tornados Rosini, Veal Oscar and Cherries Jubilee, among many others, are prepared to perfection. Many of the dishes are prepared or finished table side like the Caesar Salad (the best ever), the Pepper Steak and Crepes Suzette. How come there are no other places like this anymore? Its not worth the drive up to the Bella Vista if you can go to the Iron Gate. Also, for all you California Cuisine lovers, if you want to eat a low calorie meal, stay home! Its' okay to gluttonize on occasion.
