About 3 years ago I entered a contract for $1500 for 6 treatments at this fancy laser place in Beverly Hills, paid upfront and then totally chickened out the next day. Pretty dumb of me, but some people are hired just to sell you their services and then find gullible gooses like me so I waited until I remembered that my friend is a laser fanatic.
I went to the Glendale office first with my girlfriend to get her treatment done and waited for her and can assure you the place was booked solid and they have at least two girls working behind the counter, so I have idea what the earlier posting refers to. My girlfriend has been a devoted customer for a few years and she loves being hairless, which I think is a good thing for some. She has tried several places and she drives from another town to get her treatments done here, every few months.
Won't go in further detail, but my skin on my upper legs has started to thin out due to repeated waxing and my lower legs looked like a prickly pear after year of shaving. My appointment in Encino was pretty pain free, less than waxing, the underarm hurt most but cannot be compared with waxing which is brutal. The lady was nice, didn't make much conversation but my girlfriend said was the best, so I left her do her work. I had a bit of redness after, underarm and bikini, but went away the next day. I made my next appointment and feel great that I finally did it and felt it was safe and very clean. It is very affordable and no one does the gimmicks that we all hate of buying in advance, paying and then not liking it.
