Businiess name:  Homeworks

Review content:
I had the windows in my entire house replaced with Renewal by Anderson Windows by Homeworks. I LOVE the windows, but was extremely upset with the sales practices of the company. First I was told that the company only uses their own installers - never contractors. Then the high pressure started with the statements that they would only be in my area the first week of the following month. Also, I could only get the extra discounts if I signed the contract while the sales person was at my house. ( I still got the discounts when I finalized the contract 2 weeks later). When the installers showed up, they were wearing Anderson t-shirts but the truck was not an Anderson Truck. The installers were terrific, they really seemed to be well trained and were attentive to detail. In fact, I doubt that HomeWorks could hire and manage such quality workers themselves. When they called their dispatcher to ask whether they would be able to add a day to finish the job, I noticed that they were calling a San Jose area code, not a San Rafael area code. After a few more phone calls, their dispatcher confirmed that they were independant contractors. After the big deal that the sales person made about having their own team - I really felt misled. There were several other minor issues that made me feel as if I had been lied to during the purchase. While I am very happy with the quality of the windows - I have to say that I would not deal with one of their sales team again -- which Homeworks should pay attention to, as I have a major kitchen remodel coming up.
