Review content:
I tried this vet because of the promotional coupons they had and because my dog was due for her shots. Nice, new facility, but I was shocked at the upsell and their prices. My dog just needed her shots and some heartworm medicine. I called ahead and got a quote, but when I got there they gave me another quote which was almost double what they told me on the phone. During the exam, the vet told me my dog needed her teeth cleaned. They had a little tartar, but not bad as far as I could see. I refused the teeth cleaning and extra lab tests, and you could see how disappointed she was. I went to Smoky Hill Animal Hospital for a second opinion since they do free dental exams and they told me that my dog did not need her teeth cleaned under anesthesia, but that she would benefit from daily teeth brushing at home. They showed me how to brush her teeth and sold me a kit for less than $10.
