I used California New York Express to move from Brooklyn to San Francisco. I was in doubt of whether I wanted to go through the effort of moving things that distance at all, but then I saw the customer reviews for Move East on Yelp. I don't think moving is generally a pleasant experience, but the people who reviewed the service seemed so happy with it that I contacted Move East for a quote. Within an hour I had a number that was lower than I expected and much lower than any quotes I got from other companies online. I decided to go with it, and on the moving day, the team arrived on time, was able to park on a busy Brooklyn street, and loaded all of the boxes and packed all of the furniture within 2 hours. Just FYI, they take the furniture apart if possible, so you probably shouldn't spend any time wrapping it unless you're sure about how it will be transported. At that point, I flew to San Francisco, and on the day that I said I wanted to receive the shipment, it arrived. I got email updates on the status of the truck, and got a call from the delivery team the day before it was possible to deliver with options for them to drop it off the next day or any other day that week. Whenever I needed Customer Service (to change the delivery address and to add a third-party to the account), I was able to get in touch right away and they were super quick, knowledgeable, and helpful. I would recommend using Move East over any other company if you are moving between CA and NY; I had no problems whatsoever and was very happy with the entire experience.
