Review content:
I've read the previous reviews and I have to write about my experience at Red's. I went there expecting a rude posse of Bubbas after reading the previous reviews here.
Reds is a true Austin 'joint' - the type that is disappearing here. It reminds me a bit of Capital Saddlery, if you've been there.
Some of the guys there are Bubba, to be sure. But I found them very helpful and we had a good round of shooting. I got into a good conversation with one of the staff about the shelf life of bullets. He pulled me aside and showed me all kinds of bullets from years ago, some that he had shot himself. He even offered to give me an antique bullet.
So I'd actually recommend Red's. The indoor range is a little hot, but hey, its July in Texas.
Pros: Run by Bubbas
