Review content:
Overall this trip was wonderful. We arrived to Munich and saw the
sights in the city for four days. Our hotel was at a great location
to visit the city centre and see the sights around the old city. From
Munich, we took day trips to Nuremberg, Fussen, and Dachau. The only
glitch was that my luggage was lost for 4 days, which was annoying but
certainly did not stop us from enjoying our time in Munich. We then
left Munich for Venice via a train through the German, Austrian, and
Italian Alps, which was absolutely beautiful. We actually stayed on
the island of Lido, which was lovely and much less crowded than Venice
proper. We took the vaporettos (water taxis) to Venice most days to
see the sights, visit museums and basilicas, and enjoy delicious
Italian food and wine. We also enjoyed the beach on Lido. The only
glitch in Venice was a vaporetto strike the day we were leaving, but
after few stressful hours, we found an transportation alternative to
the airport.
