So, my water heater that I just bought from a local home improvement store...2 years ago...broke down...it wouldn't stay lit. called duke last night and they came and looked at it. it wasn't the gas pressure. he thought it might be the thermo couple. next day, called roto-rooter plumbers in covington, ky and they came in terrible weather within the hour. nice personable young man. He seemed knowledgeable and cabable. Sean was his name. he agreed that it might be the thermo couple. replaced it. started to write everything up and it went out again. and it wouldn't relight. i coulda cried. but he gave me the option of using the warranty and having it fixed the next day or just getting a new one. well, after haggling with my significant other, we decided to go for broke and get it done today. We had already had 3 pros look at the water heater. it started acting up 3 weeks ago and they all said our water heater was garbage (my word not theirs), so we got it installed. 2 hours later he was gone and the job was done very well.
