I have been a customer at North Austin Optical since 2002 and would not go anywhere else to get glasses. I've been wearing glasses since I was in 4th grade and am very particular about my glasses and their fit on my face since I wear them 24 hours a day. I bought a great pair of glasses from Myron in 2002 and have been wearing them ever since. Myron helped me pick out a good sturdy frame that fit well with my face and the lenses I required. He's been in business for over thirty years and has tons of experience fitting glasses and making sure the lenses are appropriate for the frames. For example, my prescription is strong so he knew which frames could handle the thick lenses. Myron was infinitely patient with me as I had him adjust the glasses about six times of the course of a week until they were just right. Now, eight years later, whenever I walk into the store to get the glasses adjusted or to get new nosepads, Myron still knows my name.
Myron's business and North Austin Optical is the type of business that is rarely found anymore, where Myron always knows my name, gives me great advice that are in my best interests, and I get personalized and quality service and products. This is a quality glasses shop, not a commercial disposable cheap eye glasses place. North Austin Optical is not just for people living in North Austin. It's well worth the trip over the river to get quality glasses and service from this experienced optician.
