I recently moved to New Orleans. I needed to have a dress taken in for a wedding and being new to the city, I had driven past Thimbelena and decided to go in. After telling them I could not wait two full weeks for one simple thing, I left with my receipt in hand. Where I grew up (Philadelphia), as well as where I moved from (San Diego), tailor shops are open 6 days a week (at least 5). I went to pick the dress up the day it was ready, thursday, and they were closed. Unusual, yes. I later found out they are only open 4 days a week. Besides being extremely rude and unprofessional, it was the most expensive alteration I have ever had done. Will never waste time going back.
Cons: Expensive, rude staff, limited parking, inconvenient with days being open
