The sign outside says ""The Ultimate Color Authority."" Perhaps their Goldwell color educator grew tired of correcting the owner's mistakes and that is why he left for a better salon. Chris was great and knew what he was doing. He is now at a salon called Spargo I believe. One good lesson to know and learn is this. Just because someone is the salon owner and charges the most doesn't mean they have the most advanced skill set. In fact, it may be just the opposite so beware! My friend recommended this salon and I gave the owner a good year to ""learn"" my hair and how it responds to color. I was generous as he should have already known these things. After all, I bit my tongue when he had the audacity to charge me over $300 after making me sit in his chair for five hours to get my color right. The last color he gave me looked like a clown-like hack job I performed on myself. Certainly not the job of a color expert. The salon is extremely rude and unprofessional as well. My friend who referred me patronized the salon one last time. As my friend sat in the chair, her stylist actually critcized, bad mouthed and lied about me. She reminded them I paid top dollar to go the the top guy. I've sinced learned the real reason for the owner's color disasters: during Goldwell color instructions he simply walks out of the lesson because he believes he has nothing more to learn. I now go to the top Goldwell color expert in the city. He may be a bit of a diva but he sure knows how to color hair. Moreover, he actually charges less than the owner of Steven Edwards Salon. Cons: Very poor quality work
