While coming from England to live in SLC, one of the main things (cuisine wise) I thought I would miss out on was a great curry (bear in mind London alone has more curry houses than calcutta and bombay combined, curry is the english national dish!).
I was not dissapointed with Star of India, and indeed its a regular haunt for me now.
The food is most definitely authentic and non-americanized (e.g. spicy and tastes of something!)- which is the only reason I can guess the bad reviews on here. Most of the other Indian restaurants in Utah are pretty poor by my standards I must say.
If you like authentic cuisine, served by great people in a nice comfortable setting, and at a great price, get down there now!
