Review content:
I made an appointment to have a wedding cake tasting with my maid of honor at The Cake Lady. I had heard wonderful things about this bakery, so we made the trek from the North West side of town all the way to Friendswood. I called the day before to confirm our appointment and get directions since I was not familiar with that part of town. When we arrived, it took about 5 minutes for anyone to come up to the counter to help us. I told the young lady behind the counter that we had an appointment to taste and discuss wedding cakes. She said we could go sit in the back and look at the books. We did. For 30 minutes!! I finally went back up to the counter to ask if anyone was going to help us. She looked at me rudely and said, well what do you need help with!? I told her that we would like to taste some samples of the cake, discuss prices, etc. She looked annoyed and eventually an older woman came back to "help" us. She only brought plain white cake and plain chocolate cake for us to taste. She seemed rushed and annoyed with us, so we left. I was very, very disappointed with the way were were treated, and embarrassed that I made my maid of honor come all the way to Friendswood to get treated so poorly. And to top if off, the cake wasn't even good! It was dry and pretty plain. I do NOT recommend The Cake Lady. Don't waste your time like we did.
